Petroleum grade CMC model: PAC- HV PAC- LV PAC-L PAC-R PAC-RE CMC- HV CMC- LV
1. The functions of PAC and CMC in the oil field are as follows:
1. The mud containing PAC and CMC can make the well wall form a thin and firm filter cake with low permeability, reducing the water loss;
2. After adding PAC and CMC to the mud, the drilling rig can get a low initial shear force, so that the mud is easy to release the gas wrapped in it, and at the same time, the debris is quickly discarded in the mud pit;
3. Drilling mud, like other suspensions and dispersions, has a certain shelf life. Adding PAC and CMC can make it stable and prolong the shelf life.
2. PAC and CMC have the following excellent properties in oilfield applications:
1. High degree of substitution, good uniformity of substitution, high viscosity, low dosage, effectively improving the efficiency of mud use;
2. Good moisture resistance, salt resistance and alkali resistance, suitable for fresh water, sea water and saturated salt water water-based mud;
3. The quality of the formed mud cake is good and stable, which can effectively stabilize the soft soil structure and prevent the well wall from collapsing;
4. It is suitable for the mud system whose solid content is difficult to control and has a wide range of changes.
3. Application characteristics of CMC and PAC in oil drilling:
1. It has a high ability to control water loss, especially the high-efficiency loss reducer, which can control water loss at a higher level at a lower dosage without affecting other properties of the mud;
2. Good temperature resistance and excellent salt resistance. Under a certain salt concentration, it can still have a good ability to reduce water loss and a certain rheology. After being dissolved in salt water, the viscosity is almost unchanged, especially suitable for offshore applications. Drilling and deep well requirements;
3. It can well control the rheology of the mud, has good thixotropy, and is suitable for any water-based mud in fresh water, sea water, and saturated salt water;
4. In addition, PAC is used as cementing fluid, which can prevent fluid from entering pores and fractures;
5. The filtrate prepared with PAC can withstand 2% KCL solution (must be added when configuring the filtrate) and has good solubility, easy to use, can be prepared on site, and has a fast gelation speed and strong sand-carrying ability. It is used in the formation, and its pressure filtration effect is more excellent.
